It has been a while since the last post

We did get out into the ring a few times since the last post.
Dezz (BISS Ch. Caerleon's Sunset Boulevard CC ) was Edna Gammill's BOB choice at Penn Treaty KC show in November.

It has been a while and so much to report!

Sunebank and Caerleon have been out in force this spring, showing at several specialties including the National and a number of all-breed shows as well.

Peter (Sunway Lo-Cash Cowboy), co-owned by Marilyn Feingold and Sunebank, started his show career at the Potomac Valley SSC show with a very creditable 2nd in his sweeps class and 4th in regular classes.

Then Peter went to the ASSA National in April in Perry and had quite the showing. Starting with sweeps he made the cut in a big class as he watched his litter mate Hunter (Sunway Hush Money) go 3rd in the class. But in a bigger regular 6-9 S/W Peter won the class under judge Dorothy Christiansen! Carolyn took him in for the class and Rose Chandless presented him later on in Winners competition where he showed very well. Good boy Peter! We are very proud of this little boy.

Peter's littermate Lana (Sunebank The New Girl in Town) also started her career this spring. At Potomac Valley SSC she went 4th in sweeps and showed very well. At SSC of Greater Baltimore shows she was 2nd in sweeps both days and first in her regular class both days.

Lana also went to ASSA Nationals and was 4th in Sweeps, handled there by her breeder Marni Sharoff.

Riot (Sunebank Caerleon It's a Riot) is doing all sorts of good stuff this year. He started with a specialty major, going BOW at the Three Rivers SSC show in Washington PA under judge Jane Howard. He followed that win with an 'almost', a specialty reserve major under Kim Shive at the Central VA SSC specialties. These were all from the BBX class.

To top it all off, Riot went to ASSA National in Perry Georgia in April and won the BBX class under judge Dorothy Christiansen, handled as always by Carolyn!

Tansy (Caerleon Sunset Sensation) has started to come into her own this spring, winning her first major under judge Larry Stein out of BBX class at the Delaware KC show in York PA in March.

She then traveled to the ASSA National in Perry GA where she went 2nd in 12-18 S/W under judge Glenda Henson. Zana took her into the ring for this outing.

Keira (Sunebank I-Mar Keira) also went to ASSA National and came away with a 4th place in a very competitive Open S/W class under judge Glenda Henson, beautifully presented by Rose Chandless.

Keira continued her good spring by going WB/BOS Saturday and Sunday at the Freehold shows, handled by Rose Chandless. On Sunday she crossed over for the major!

We are very pleased with all these Shelties and look forward to seeing them back in the ring for the summer shows. See you there!

Updated Puppy pictures

These are the 6 puppies from Peyton x Encore, all happy and healthy at 3 weeks of age. There are 2 girls still available from this litter.

All the pretty white/sable/white puppies from Rumor's litter are gone to their new homes now; wanted to show a picture of Flurry since she is so pretty.

Valley Forge Kennel Club Match

Sunebank and Caerleon had a good day today at the sanctioned "B" match put on by VFKC. There were at least 15 Sheltie puppies there.

15 week old Amy, one of our Birdie puppies sired by Ch. Magic Winds Jahbril, was second in her class. She acted silly but had a good experience in her first show.

Lana (Sunebank the New Girl in Town) (Natalie x Boy-boy) at 6 months, was awarded BOB puppy and a Herding Group II.

Tansy, our Dezz daughter (by Ch. Shamont Back to Basics) is looking more like her mommy every day and is starting to get more comfortable in the ring, today doing well enough for a GI at the match! We are very proud of all of these little girls.

And now it's 219!

Dezz returned to the show ring today (Sunday) and went Best of Breed at the Central Virginia Shetland Sheepdog Club Specialty under judge Yvonne Defrietas, handled by Carolyn, showing as if she hadn't been on sabbatical.
On Saturday Riot was Reserve WD to a 5 point major under judge KIm Shive, also handled by Carolyn.

We have puppies!

Peyton (Ch. Sunebank She's the One) had a healthy litter of 6 sable puppies last night! These puppies were sired by Sunebank Encore at Inkwell (5 points). There is a white-and-sable girl, and 3 sable/white girls and 2 sable/white boys. All are doing well and so is Peyters, being a good mom to all 6. Contact Wendy if you are interested in discussing puppies!

There are also 2 pretty color-headed white girl puppies still looking for their forever homes out of Rumor (Ch. Sunebank's Have You Heard).

Dezz

It has been a great many months since we have mentioned Dezz; she has been away from the show ring since last year but not before achieving her 218th Best of Breed win, bringing her firmly into the Two-century Club. Right now she relaxes at home, continuing her role as the Princess of Gordonville.

Encore adds points!

Sunebank Encore at Inkwell, co-owned by Wendy, Carolyn, and Paula Waterman, went WD/BOW on Friday January 16 at Carroll Kennel Club under judge Sue Woodle for 2 points. On Saturday the 17th he was once again WD, this time under Linda Robey. Both times he was handled by Paula.
